My Photography Style
My gearAs dad would say - right tools for the right jobI LOVE my Nikon D750. I have a variety of lenses depending on the shooting situation. In studio, I have a Larson 4x6 softbox with an Einstein e640 light. This combination produces yummy light that looks just like diffused window light.

I love creating images that tell stories. Stories are unique, personal and best created as a collaboration between the people on both sides of the camera. I am here to capture beautiful and memorable images for you to love for years to come. As such, photographs are precious; thank you for entrusting me to create yours. My clean, classic style balances warmth with bright, rich tones and a touch of artistic stylization giving attention to those little details. I want my clients to look back on these images and love them just as much as the day they were taken.
I started my career in photography during college when I worked for a portrait studio. What a great job – making children and babies smile and laugh all day! I took a tangent through the corporate world and back to my true love and passion.
My friends gave me the nickname “sunshinegirl” so it’s no surprise my favorite shooting conditions use natural lighting; sunset hours being my favorite. And as much as I wish I could carry a portable sun in my pocket to make for ideal shooting conditions, sometimes Mother Nature does not cooperate. In those situations, I’ll reach into my “bag of tricks” to create or enhance the light we need. My goal is to create beautiful, light-filled photography that captures your family. Simple, natural and sweet.
My on-location sessions are fun and casual, tailored to show off the real you so you can just relax and let your personality shine through. As a business owner, I value my clients tremendously and strive to deliver a high level of personal service, a quality experience and products that are stunning additions to your home.
It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.— Paul Caponigro
A great photographer doesn’t just “take pictures”. They capture candid moments that can visually describe what your heart is feeling in a special, singular way. A beautiful image can preserve those fleeting moments and irreplaceable memories. Life’s only constant is change, and the opportunities to seize those moments sometimes has a short window – a round belly enveloping your new love, those first few days after your child is born (and changing so quickly!)…..to all those moments in between, leading to graduation. You ask the question “Where did the time go?” Time passes by so quickly, that one day looking back, all you’re left with are the memories….and images.
